Have you ever wanted your own miniature version of one of the
famous art sculptures of Europe sitting on your coffee table or
cabinet ?

Well, here it is !

The italian renaissance sculptor Niccollo Dell'Arca created
a life-size terracotta group called "Lamentation over the
dead Christ" around 1464 in Bologna, Italy. Today the original
stands in a church in Bologna, Italy.

One of the six figures shows Maria Magdalene which I've
chosen because of her ethereal appearance and her intense facial
expression.

My Maria Magdalene is 6" high. She is a one-0f-a-kind figure entirely handmade by me.  Her body is made of paper clay, her head and hands are made of polymer clay. She stands on a wooden base painted with a special coarse paint which gives it dimension. Her clothes are soft velvet-like fabric which I conditioned so it stay's firmly in place.
