Welcome to my homepage !
May I introduce myself:
I'm the Poppetmaker!
In fact I'm more than that. I'm a sculptor. I'm a seamstress. I'm a make-up artist. I'm a shoe maker. I'm a hairdresser. And sometimes I'm even a carver, weapon's maker, hat maker, cabinetmaker... you name it.

I individually hand-sculpt each figure from polymer clay.
Each "poppet" is unique, it doesn't exist twice.
My figures are between 13 and 25 cm tall.

Please have a look. If you are interested in any of my

Here a "sneak peek" of my most recent work:

Voila! Here she is ! The title is "Lorelei retired".

I do have a slight problem, though. I'm not sure if I should keep the coat or not. Lorelei denies talking to me, so I need your help. What do you think ? To Coat or not to coat ?

Should Lorelei wear a coat ?

More pictures after I decided what to do with her wardrobe.

While browsing through the internet I found a wonderful picture of an oldnaked lady. I've always been more fascinated by the not so young and beautiful, so I couldn't resiststarting with the doll immediately. She is in 1:12th scale. Ialready know the title of this scene, but more of that later .... Here the first shot:

I've been working on my 1:10th scale project and finished one of the three figures and I'm halfway finished with the animal.

Yeah, after fiddling around for month I'm finally finished with my hands. To be honest,  I'm not all that happy about them, especially about the skin tones. But as I always intended to make molds out of them, it's ok. I will keep the original ones and make a small edition out of them which I'm going to sell. I still need my hubby to make me a nice wooden V-form so I can display them.

I just got the materials for the cold bronze casting material (by the way: do never ever ship anything wiht UPS if you live in Canada. They rob you blind). I will try to make detailed photos of the process and put them in my this and that site.
